The Backwards Law: Why Fighting Against Doesn’t Create Change In our constant pursuit of happiness, success, or inner peace, we often find that the harder we chase them, the more elusive they become. This is The Backwards Law—the paradox that the more we strive for something, the more we reinforce its absence in our lives. As Mother Teresa wisely said, “I will never attend an anti-war rally; if you have a peace rally, invite me.” Why? Because fighting against something often fuels its existence. Anti-war rallies can perpetuate conflict. Campaigns to “fight crime” can, paradoxically, sustain cycles of violence. True change requires a shift in perspective. Instead of resisting what we don’t want, we must focus on creating what we do want. Imagine a world where we replace resistance with understanding, fighting with cooperation, and division with unity. It’s time to let go of the struggle and flow with a vision of the changes we wish to see. #MindsetShift #TheBackwardsLaw #PositiveChange #Leadership #SelfAwareness
