Working a full time job and running a business full time is A LOT of work and I was burnt out. So l'm taking 6 weeks off from work to do all the business tasks I desperately need to get done so everything is easier during the holidays. I'm so grateful that l'm in a position where I can take 6 weeks off and still pay my rent but it will require being more frugal (suit and baked goods aside) and a lot of work. First up is getting out all the pen preorders (except the showgirl set). Then doing a full inventory count. Then packing up everything that needs to be packaged like notepads and pen sets and keychains. Then it's going through all the b-grade stuff and making surprise packs. After all of that I'm going to start on the tedious task of updating all my product photos and descriptions to be uniform across platforms, taking lifestyle photos of stuff, getting back into my outreach routine, and a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting. Plus working on a secret commission. First day of my six weeks off. Did I get started on inventory? No. Will I be able to start today? Realistically probably not. I still have tons of orders to fulfill which I'm grateful for and if I'm going to have a roadblock between me and my to-do list, having orders to fulfill is the best possible scenario. So part of what I want to accomplish with these reels about a day in my life taking 6 weeks off to catch up on business stuff is to show a true look behind the scenes including all of the mess. I've never been good with making reels or taking photos because my office is such a mess and I'm embarrassed by it and it's not internet perfect. But it is reel. I have ADHD, I spill stuff on my desk mat, I am incapable of getting rid of stuff, I bought a light colored cloth chair even though I use self tanner and I sit in it in all sorts of weird positions with my feet all over it and my dogs paws all over it. That's life. If you're a messy ADHD girly who has too much stuff, you aren't alone. And thank you to Dani DiPirro and Tarcher Books for sending me a copy of The Story of You!
