I don’t usually ask for things like this—but this one matters. I’m currently in the running for People’s Artist 2026, and this isn’t just about art for me. It’s about turning real-life experiences—pain, resilience, healing, uncertainty—into something that actually means something to other people. My work comes from lived experience. From navigating chronic illness, trauma, and rebuilding life when things didn’t go the way they were supposed to. Art has been one of the only spaces where I can process, create, and exist without limitation—and that’s why this matters so much. This contest gives artists like me a platform, but it also helps open doors to keep creating, to keep telling stories that don’t always get heard, and to build something stable out of something that once felt like chaos. Voting is completely FREE, and every single vote genuinely makes a difference. If anything I’ve shared resonates with you, or if you believe in supporting artists who create from a real place, I’d really appreciate your support. Vote here: https://peoplesartist.org/2026/allison-maccready Even if you can’t vote, sharing this helps more than you know. Thank you for being here 🤍 #millennial #art #disabled #disability #anime
