My dreams of making anime-style music came true with this play 🌟Thank you to the @unboxing.theatre team for the trust and for letting me be part of the team! I had so much fun making the music and sound for this project. It was my first time using a vocaloid/vocal synthesizer and singing in Japanese (shoutout to @herman.__p who helped me with my vocaloid questions!). I also used Chatgpt to translate the English lyrics to Japanese then double-checked with the team. Should I make a separate post sharing what I learned/more of the music process? Thank you as well to my dear friend @ainnaantiporda who provided backing vocals for this. The last slide is a snippet of when we were recording her vocals. Net Café Refugee premiered at the Camden Fringe on August 17, 18 and 24, 2025 in London. It explores themes of social isolation and loneliness set against the backdrop of a Tokyo internet cafe. Hi 👋 Been a while! Been feeling a bit shy to show my face around here lately but I’m back (!!). In between finding a new place to live, finding a job, finding a flat—-it was a lot. Feeling a bit more stable now and wanting to show up again. Here are a couple of snaps from life in the past few months. 1 - got to visit a recording session at Abbey Road which was 100% a PINCH ME PLS moment 2 - Random spontaneous Take That concert with friends (where I had no idea who the band was and ended up being surprised by random giant elephants?!) 3 - Been working a new job and had a great day off with friends and went to visit Hampton Court Palace ☺️ 4 - Love/hate affair with London’s trains. The heatwave wave was rough for our trains. 5 - ya’ll I saw Voldemort live and it was fantastic. 6 - Another spontaneous adventure with a friend where we stumbled into a piano/jazz speak easy in Soho 7 - I’m working on a new theatre project this July that I’m really excited about! I’ll share more on my stories 😄 8 - Trying to slowly get back into sketching when I can and this was a lovely breakfast morning on a day off. 9 - Swaaaaaaans #singersongwriter #composer #londonlife
