don’t let this video fool you — there were so many points along the way where i didn’t think i would cross that finish line. by far the hardest race i’ve ever done. i knew it would be tricky going into it, but couldn’t have expected the way i’d fight to cross the finish line. as someone who is very much in the back of the pack, the out-and-backs, watching parts of the course get broken down, limited crowds at times… it messed with my mind more than it has in previous races. for a few days after the race i wasn’t proud of my effort, but i’m getting there. it’s hard to know where you’ve been before sometimes, but i was carried by the voices of my loved ones voices in my ears (shoutout @Rally 🥇 ) & my husband on the course who wouldn’t have let me quit even if i wanted to. grateful for this experience, even if it wasn’t what i thought it would be. 🫶🏻 #sydneymarathon #letsrunlauren

there aren’t words to express how much it meant to hear a new voice at every mile reminding me that i’m capable, strong, and belong on the race course 🥲 so many others & these are voice notes i’ll cherish forever 🫶🏻 @Rally 🥇 #sydneymarathon #letsrunlauren
