Four space nerds, one big ethical dilemma: if humanity is down to its last survivors, is it right to terraform an alien world so we can live there - especially if there’s already life on it? In this episode of “A Scientist and 2 (3 this time) Engineers Take a Walk,” we argue it out: · Is survival a free pass to rewrite another planet’s ecosystem? · Do microbes and alien ecosystems have rights of their own? · Could we ethically share a world with another intelligent species instead of remaking it in our image? #terraforming #spaceethics #astrobiology #scifi #FermiParadox #spacetok #ethics @pace.pr @baenbooks @princetonupress @irg.space

What is the best Star Trek series? We debated it on “A Scientist and 2 Engineers Take a Walk,” and let’s just say the crew did not agree - but we got close. I suspect it's because of our age and generation. What do you say? Which was the best Star Trek series and why? #ScientistandEngineersWalk #BigBangTheory #startrek #startrektok #trektok #sciencefiction @pace.pr @baenbooks @princetonupress @irg.space

A Scientist and 2 Engineers Take A Walk… and talk UAPs. Are UAPs “real”? Yes—but not the way TikTok usually means it. They’re real reports of weird things in the sky, from pilots, satellites, and everyday observers, that don’t match known objects at first glance. We have some speculations of what they are (and aren’t)! What do you think they are?? #ScientistandEngineersWalk #UAP #UFO #SpaceTok #spaceexploration @pace.pr @baenbooks @
