Wow.. so here is a little bit about this Mecha Blaster I designed. (It’s literally my first complete 3d model and render) - First, I have fallen in love with the plasticity modeling software (@getplasticity ) - The interface is intuitive and the experience is really geared towards artist with the ability for CAD type modeling as well. It has changed the game for me. - I used plasticity to model this mecha blaster attachment and then used the AMAZING Blender Bridge to give it some color. - All of this is new to me, but after some initial frustration ( due to my lack of knowledge) I was able to quickly pick up some basic techniques. - I gave it my best shot. - After some cleanup and assigning materials I had to go through and make this 360 animation. - After a few tutorials I was able to assign the empty and the camera , render the frames, then export those images back into blender to create this 3D animation. - Once again, I know this is BASICCCC, but this is huge for me. - Just go look one or two posts back on my feed and you can see the progress. - I am thankful for the ability to learn new things and these amazing tools! - I can’t wait to share more projects with you. - #plasticity #blender #blender3d #3ddesign #3dmodeling #scifiart #mecha #mechaart #scifiblasterprop #3dmodel #3dmodels @blender.official

🚀 Today I set out to design a spaceship in Plasticity and finish the design in Blender. I did that and here it is. - This is a big accomplishment.
