Why do you have tailbone pain? 👇 Because your tailbone (coccyx) usually isn’t the problem. It’s what’s around it. 🍑 Tight pelvic floor muscles, tense glutes, a tailbone that’s been compressed from sitting all day, or a body still recovering from pregnancy and birth. When those muscles can’t relax, they tug on your tailbone every time you sit, stand up, or roll over in bed. And no, you don’t need to just “sit on a donut pillow and hope it goes away.” 🙅‍♀️ This mini series is what I give my clients to calm things down. It takes about 5 minutes and you can do it right at home. 👇 Hold each position for 5 to 8 slow breaths. Inhale and let your belly and pelvic floor soften. Exhale and let everything melt down. 💛 Don’t clench to “fix” it. With tailbone pain, relaxing is the work. 📌 SAVE this for the next time you’re wincing getting off the couch 📤 SEND to a mom friend who’s been suffering in silence If your pain is severe, getting worse, or has lasted more than a few weeks, see a pelvic health physiotherapist. This is exactly what we help with, and you deserve to feel comfortable sitting. 🤍 General education only. Not a substitute for individualized medical advice. #tailbonepain #coccyxpain #pelvicfloorphysio #pelvichealth #postpartumrecovery

Me trying to navigate being a toddler mom, wife, clinic owner, hospital job and content creation… Some moments I feel like I got this and others I feel so defeated. I have a new level of respect for working moms. To any other working moms reading this, know you’re not alone and although it may look like people on social media have it all “put together”… I can promise you that’s not the case. They’re only showing the polished part of their day. #canadianmoms #relatablemom #workingmomlife #mommentalhealth
