🎀 This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re also bringing awareness to BIA-ALCL, a rare lymphoma associated with breast implants. When Holly’s MRI revealed fluid surrounding one of her implants, she was understandably concerned about BIA-ALCL. This young patient had complaints of breast pain that prevented her from sleeping properly. She felt like her implants are causing her headaches and back pain. She had these set of La Femme branded silicone implants placed in Venezuela in 2011. I performed an explant with total intact (or “en bloc”) capsulectomy and breast lift.
