The offseason is when most athletes finally have time to get evaluated. It’s also when there’s room to act on what an evaluation finds, without a schedule forcing decisions. Tissue that’s been loaded hard all season can be examined, baseline imaging can be established, and anything worth monitoring can be identified while there’s still time. Baseline matters more than people realize. Having imaging from when things felt fine gives you something to compare against later, which is far more useful than starting from scratch mid-season. If you’re an athlete, when was your last full evaluation? #SportsMedicine #UltrasoundGuided #MedicalEducation

Here’s a question worth asking about any procedure: who’s in the room, and what are they trained in? For procedures involving blood, that includes apheresis-trained staff whose role is monitoring throughout, not just setup. Vitals, how you’re responding, anything that comes up along the way. It’s a role, not an extra. That level of oversight is the baseline in a clinical setting. It’s also one of the clearest ways to tell how seriously a practice takes what it offers. If you’re considering anything, ask who’ll be with you and what their training is. What else would you want to know beforehand? 👇 #MedicalEducation #PatientEducation

Most people come in with something specific they want to understand about their own health. Sometimes it’s a number from recent bloodwork. Sometimes it’s how they’re sleeping, or how they’re feeling compared to a few years ago. Sometimes it’s just wanting a clearer picture before deciding anything. That starting point matters, because it shapes what gets evaluated and what the conversation focuses on. Everyone’s is different, and so is what follows. What would bring you in? 👇 #PatientEducation #MedicalEducation
