🖤 Look who’s starting to come out of his shell… Just a few days ago, Bagheera was a terrified feral kitten who wouldn’t eat, wouldn’t come out of hiding, and didn’t know if he could trust anyone. Today, he’s eating, drinking water, using his litter box, meowing to me… and now he’s even starting to play. 🥹 Watching him make progress has been one of the most rewarding experiences. He still has a long road ahead, though. Because Bagheera grew up outside, he needs a complete veterinary exam and will likely require sedation so the veterinarian can safely examine him. He’ll also need vaccinations, parasite treatment, testing, and continued care as he learns to live as a healthy indoor cat. Bagheera is acclimating well to his new home! I got a ton of love from him today, rubs, nose kisses, butt scratches and behind the ear scratches. I have yet to record the new behavior of him loving on me. Still a ways to go but I let him out of the spare room yesterday to wander and explore the house. Jasper has been my helper at getting Bagheera to calm down and begin behaving as a domestic house cat. Honestly, he is loving it.
