The most disturbing thing about The Human Centipede might not actually be the movie. It might be how seriously director Tom Six researched it. The entire concept began as a sick joke about punishing a child molester by surgically attaching his mouth to the backside of a truck driver. Instead of allowing that thought to die like a normal human being… Six made a movie. But then he went further. He consulted a real surgeon and asked whether human beings connected this way could actually survive. According to Six, the surgeon explained that additional fluids and nutrition could theoretically keep them alive. So no, The Human Centipede wasn’t based on a true story. They just asked a doctor how to make the nightmare more believable. #HumanCentipede #TheHumanCentipede #TomSix #HorrorMovies #HorrorHistory #HorrorTok #MovieFacts #DisturbingFacts #BehindTheScenes #MovieHistory #ScaryMovies #BodyHorror #HorrorMovieTok #DarkCinema #CultHorror #povhorror #foundfootagehorror #captivehorrorfilm

This one may be our favorite accidental review. Some viewers have become so convinced by CAPTIVE’s realism that they believe portions of the film contain actual violence. They do not. CAPTIVE is fiction. Our performers are actors. The blood, injuries and violence were created through filmmaking. Practical effects. Makeup. Performance. Camera placement. Editing. Sound design. The entire point of our multi-POV approach was to remove some of the comfortable distance viewers normally have from fictional violence. Apparently... it worked. https://www.tiktok.com/@killhousehorror/video/7660955213733350670 #CAPTIVE #HorrorTok #PracticalEffects #IndieHorror #povhorror #foundfootagehorror #captivehorrorfilm
