This is what I’m always talking about when I teach stylists how to take a client’s inspo and turn it into the cut they actually want. She knew the vibe she was going for, but she needed some help figuring out how to create a cut that would actually achieve that vibe with her specific hair texture. I knew the bangs would do two important things for her 1. Frame the face and 2. Bring some volume to the top to help her get through this ATL heat and humidity without her hair falling flat. And, we still got a little of that mob wife action by creating the cut in a way that would allow her to play with a side part from time to time. From Kenya?! How incredible! Thank you for trusting me! She said she had limited access to haircare and was hoping for something to provide a distinctive shape. At one point, she told me that she’d been wearing scarves a lot because she just didn’t love her current hair and felt like her styling options were super limited. Once I saw the length we were working with I immediately knew that a cute bob that could be styled curly or straight would be the perfect cut for her! So honored she chose me for her first cut after shaving it all off! I loved the vibe she was going for with her asymmetrical inspo pics, but I was concerned about whether she had enough length for it to really get there. This cut is just proof that interim cuts don't have to compromise! This cut not only looks and feels a lot like the inspo but will grow out beautifully into the cut she came in dreaming of.
