11/19/24 - the worst day of my life. The day I had to say goodbye to my best friend 💔 I’ve never felt loss like this. I’ve never had to grieve like this. Everything is so different now & life really sucks without you. Each day looks duller, the holidays seem less magical, all because we have a Ridley sized hole in our lives. You were the bestest bud for a whole decade & I still haven’t come to terms with the fact that you’re actually gone. We were supposed to have so much more time together. I see you everywhere. Curled up on the couch. Snuggling on your pillows. Basking in the sun. Running in the yard. Riding in the car. Swimming in your pool. You live on through all our precious memories together. Thank you for the last 10 years. Thank you for all the cuddles and love. Thank you for keeping life entertaining. Thank you for being beside me through everything life has thrown at us. The only thing bringing me peace is knowing your pain is finally gone and you can rest easy now. I hope now you get to spend everyday swimming, running as fast as you can, getting a tan in the sunshine, popping balloons, & eating all the cookies you can stomach. You’ve earned it my sweet boy.
