🚗📸 CAR CONFESSIONS! Who says your senior session has to be all outdoors?! Today’s senior chose to do part of her session in a studio, and I LOVE how much variety that added to her photos! A studio location is such a fun way to completely change up the look and feel of your senior pictures. Different lighting, different backgrounds, and a totally different vibe! But here’s what made the studio an especially great choice for today’s session… she wanted to include her TWO dogs and TWO cats! 🐶🐶🐱🐱 Having an indoor studio space gave us a more controlled, contained environment where we could comfortably photograph her with all four of her furry family members, without worrying about outdoor distractions or keeping everyone in one place! It’s the perfect example of how choosing the right locations isn’t just about how your photos will look. I photographed her as a baby. For her senior pictures, I didn't ask where. I asked who she is now. Most senior sessions start with a location. A Pinterest board. The trendy spot. Three outfits. Not your fault. That's how senior pictures have always been sold. I did it that way for years too. But the missing piece isn't where. It's who. So every senior starts with my questionnaire. What do you do every day that has nothing to do with school? What music makes you happiest? What's your comfort food? Her answers took us to Zesto's, a record store, and a flower farm. Other seniors brought orange shoes. A theatre tech book. Legos. Mom and grandma. When the session is built around you, you stop posing and start being yourself. That's when the real photos happen.
