The Summer Fun Massacre by Craig DiLouie Genre: Thriller / Police Procedural Length: 304 Pages Pace: Slow Rating: Might Probe Goodreads Rating: 3.62✨ My Thoughts 💭 PERKS LOVE the idea of the massacres happening every few decades. Tom did have a lot of emotion revolving around the massacre in the 80s and now 90s. I was able to connect with those emotions. I sometimes struggle with a final girl situation, but this flipped it on its head. Instead it followed Tom, a detective that arrives too late to save anyone! QUIRKS I was not attached to the MMC at all… I felt like he was just floating along. It was 97% police procedural and 3% horror/ ISH There was not really anything involving a summer camp… The supernatural of it all was not fleshed (;)) out. I think the superstition elements were a really good idea BUT did not go into them enough. ⁉️QOTD: What are you reading for summerween?! Did you read this one? I have been absolutely loving Sci-Fi books lately.. Anything that makes me really think!
