I don’t usually bring my personal struggles to social media. I’m usually the person who smiles through it, figures it out, and keeps pushing forward. But today, I need to be honest. The last few days have been some of the hardest I’ve faced in a long time. My sister just called to tell me the hospital is sending my dad home because there’s nothing more they can do for him. At the same time, the job I was depending on to help keep us from being evicted unexpectedly fell through. Rent is due in two days, and we’re still over $1,000 short. My car lender is calling about missed payments, and the orders I thought were going to help keep everything afloat haven’t come through. I’m overwhelmed. I’m carrying more than I ever imagined I’d have to carry at one time. I don’t have all the answers right now, but I know I can’t keep pretending I don’t need help. If you’ve followed my journey with JSOFLII Bake Vault, you’ve watched me build this dream from the ground up. You’ve seen the overnight jobs, the long drives to events, the countless hours spent perfecting recipes, and the determination to keep going no matter how many setbacks came my way.
