📸 Photo credit @pixeldustisaiah We came together and created this trailer, not because we had the guarantee of recognition, not because it made financial sense and certainly not because Disney asked us to do it. We came together to make this because it was truly something that we were dying to see and hear on screen. Despite all the uncertainty that comes with working in this industry, I'm so grateful to live and work in this town with these wonderful human beings. My mom was known for taking her 8mm Hitachi camcorder everywhere. She recorded family reunions, birthday parties and baby showers. I would often ask to learn how to use her camera and play back videos on our family VCR. I was fascinated with what she did. Eventually I would start using her camera to record my own home movies. My toys would often be the subject of these early films. Over the years these films would grow in length and become homages to the movies I'd love to watch over and over. It was my way of participating in them and adding my own narrative to the stories I admired. Today I continue to do this. The methods are more advanced but the heart behind the effort remains the same. It all started with my relationship with my mother and how I wanted to learn from her. I owe so much to her for creating a space that I could thrive in as a child. I love you mom!! ♥️♥️
