#MorningManao Grateful, Just grateful. To be in this position and having the chance to serve my community. To have a support system that holds me up as I stumble through learning and growing. This will be a big step into Leadership in the department, but I’ve been building towards this for years now. Doesn’t mean I have it all figured out, just that I’m ready. Are you ready for the next level in life? One thing is for sure, every step up guarantees growth, and progress, and learning. Which makes you only want to keep stepping. One step at a time and you will find you have the ability to #RiseUpKanaka #Walaau #VideoJournaling #Promotion
#MorningManao Wanna get ahead, drop the things dragging you down. At every level, we acquire things that are relevant for that level, but once you rise, new Kuleana waits for you. In order to uphold that Kuleana, old responsibilities need to be let go. Some things you don’t want to let go.some things feel “good”. Some things will hurt when they’re gone. But some things have no place where you are going. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be able to #RiseUpKanaka #Walaau #VideoJournaling #NextLevel
#MorningManao I love supporting people that were able to create something amazing from a life they first trashed. This example of resilience and courage is vital for us all to see in ourselves. Just as important are the people who stay solid. The ones who never considered that path because of the Kuleana they knew they held. The ones who show up, take care of business, give their time and energy, pray and are the backbone of our community. They are the example I believe our kids should see and emulate. I’m not saying they’re better than anyone else. We are all the same, but I wish more Aloha was shown to these members of our Lāhui. They deserve it. They keep Hawai’i and its culture alive. I wish their story would go viral or earn interviews on podcasts and news programs. As a collective we do t appreciate them enough. It’s time. It’s because of them that hope remains we fall. That we can #RiseUpKanaka #Walaau #VideoJournaling #Recognize
