I’d love to say “I made this” but truthfully I’m so proud to say my daughter made this gorgeous cable jumper. So many firsts for her with this one. First knitting in the round. first cables, first charts, first reading a pattern. It’s from a Drops pattern and made in 8ply Aussie merino wool from Bendigo Woollen Mills. I can tell you this - it’s ignited something in her. She’s browsing Ravelry now to find her next project! #knittok #aussieknitters #handknitsweater #cablesweater #australianmerinowool

My next wip is the Ilha sweater by Orlane Sucche. I’m knitting it in 4ply merino from Bendigo Woollen Mills. I’ve made this pattern twice before- one for each of my girls - this one is for me. #knittok #aussieknitters #handknitsweater #australianmerinowool #wipknitting

My youngest finished her Aran jumper just before Christmas. I went away and then we blocked it this week when I returned. It was very fitted (in the first photo) so we got one of her favourite jumpers and measured to get an idea of how strenuous we wanted to get with blocking. We carefully measured and pinned and it ended up not being so stretched as to lose the cable definition. It now drapes perfectly on her and has brought the neckline down which was a point of worry for her. Where she was worried she’d never wear the jumper because it wasn’t oversized like she wanted, she’s now ecstatic! Knitted in 8ply Bendigo Woollen Mills classic. #knittok #aussieknitters #handknitsweater #australianmerinowool #cablesweater
