Behind the uniform was a young man with a life to live, people who loved him, and a future that should have been his. Tonight, we honor this Durham firefighter Andrew Brokes, who died in the line of duty. We pray for his family, his firehouse, and the two injured firefighters. Lord, receive him into Your peace. Hold those waiting for him to come home, and carry his brothers and sisters through the days ahead. Rest easy, brother. You mattered. You will be remembered. 🕯️ #lodd #thinredline #brotherhood #fallenfirefighter #durham

When I picture them being welcomed home, I picture their chaplain there. Father Mychal Judge—with that smile I miss so much, a hand extended, gathering his people close. The man who stayed beside them in life belongs in our remembrance of them. Mychal, this is how I imagine you: still loving your flock, still pointing them toward Christ. ❤️ #catholic #fransiscan #fathermychal #fdny #911

Some seasons don't look fruitful from the outside. They just look quiet. Heavy. Hidden. Sometimes they look like grief. Like waiting. Like years spent simply learning how to carry the weight of what we've lost. But I've come to understand something. Just because I cannot see the fruit doesn't mean nothing is growing. Even in the silence, God is at work. Even in the darkness, roots are taking hold. Not every season is meant for harvesting. Some are meant for becoming. And through it all, pain doesn't get the final word. Christ does. ✝️ #FaithJourney #ChristianTikTok #GriefAndHealing #oldcatholic #Christian
