💞 Our Love Story: JP & Annie It all began in 2017, with two hearts looking for connection on a dating site called Zoosk. Neither of us expected much that day — just a message, a spark, maybe a smile. But what we found was something real. Something that felt like home. Both of us came into this love with stories, with children, with lives that had already seen joy and heartbreak. Yet from the very start, there was a calmness between us — the kind that only comes when two souls recognize one another. On December 24, 2017, I asked Annie to marry me — right there in front of her mother, who was courageously battling Alzheimer’s. That moment wasn’t just a proposal; it was a promise. A promise that no matter what life brought, we’d walk through it together. We kept that promise on March 23, 2019, when we became husband and wife. And as our love grew, so did our family. Our first son, Nicholas, came into the world on December 10, 2020 — our Christmas miracle. A year later, almost to the day, we were blessed again with our second child on December 2, 2021. Our hearts, our home, our world — all complete. Then life began to test the very strength of that promise. In October 2023, Annie began showing signs of memory loss. What started as small moments soon became something we couldn’t ignore. By the summer of 2025, our deepest fear was confirmed — Annie was diagnosed with early onset mild Alzheimer’s. Through it all, we held on to each other. Even as I faced my own battles — a TIA stroke in November 2024, and another in October 2025 — we never let go. The world could shake, but our foundation remained love, faith, and family. We’ve shared so much more than years together — we’ve shared life. From dinners out and road trips, to quiet nights laughing over nothing. From Arizona sunsets to the noise and joy of our children playing, every moment has been ours. Our story isn’t a fairytale — it’s real. It’s love in its truest form: standing beside one another through every season, every test, every change.
