Did you know that the lead roles were originally written for The Fresh Prince & Jazzy Jeff?? There were legalities that forced the duo to make an appearance in the “House Party franchise. The director of the film was so unimpressed with their unprofessionalism, that he decided not to move forward with them and was prepared for any lawsuits. I believe everything happens for a reason because I could not imagine House Party w/o Kid’N Play!! House Party was a box office success, garnering $26.4 million throughout it’s theater run off of a $2.5 million budget!! The movie is now a cult classic!
