There's another theory that "Boss Nelson" could perhaps be Maverick's father. First, if Boss Nelson is Maverick's father, why was Maverick arrested? Wouldn't his father have had enough power to get him out? This part of the theory is the most unproven, so let's leave it aside lmao Second, let's assume that the dark-haired guy in prison, in Ryan's flashback, was indeed Maverick. Ryan was in deep trouble, and if Maverick was in jail, then he wasn't doing too well either. So maybe, in that scenario... Maybe Maverick and Ryan could have, you know, developed some kind of camaraderie and helped each other out? But after the relationship turned into that of boss and employee, did they drift apart.....? In short, this is all based on theory lmao and because Jasmine tells Ryan "I would hate to have to kill you after everything" (or something like that, I don't remember exactly).
