Kagurabachi is a dark fantasy action manga written and illustrated by Takeru Hokazono, serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since September 2023. The story centers on Chihiro Rokuhira, a young swordsman whose father, a legendary swordsmith, is murdered by the Hishaku criminal syndicate. This group steals six of the seven enchanted blades his father forged, which possess supernatural powers capable of altering battles. Armed with the seventh blade, Enten, Chihiro embarks on a revenge-driven quest to reclaim the stolen weapons and honor his father’s legacy. The series blends intense, choreographed sword-fighting battles with themes of vengeance, intergenerational trauma, and the moral complexities of power. As Chihiro progresses, he becomes entangled in broader conflicts involving sorcerers, government organizations like the Kamunabi, and underground auctions where the blades are commodified.
