I think this is the part of the Lindsay Clancy case that a lot of people are missing. So many women are speaking up and saying, “I understand what it feels like to know something is wrong and still not be taken seriously.” That doesn’t mean they sympathize with what happened. It doesn’t mean they excuse it. And it certainly doesn’t mean they don’t grieve for the children who lost their lives. It means they recognize something much bigger. Women are constantly expected to advocate for themselves while simultaneously being told they’re overreacting, being too emotional, being anxious, being dramatic, or simply struggling with motherhood. And I’ve experienced my own moments of trying to advocate for my women’s health and feeling like I wasn’t being heard. So I cannot even begin to imagine what Lindsay was experiencing—especially knowing she was a nurse herself and was reportedly seeking help while her mental state continued to deteriorate. A woman should not have to be in an absolute crisis before someone believes her. We need to stop treating women’s suffering as something they should simply push through. We need to take postpartum mental health seriously. We need to take women seriously when they advocate for themselves. And we need to stop dismissing women until something irreversible happens. You can condemn what happened and still acknowledge that the system failed to adequately protect someone who was clearly suffering. Those two truths can exist at the same time. 🖤 #PostpartumMentalHealth #WomensMentalHealth #BelieveWomen #MaternalMentalHealth #ListenToWomen

I don’t really know what this next chapter looks like yet. I’m still heartbroken, still processing, and honestly just trying to make sense of everything. But I’m starting to realize that choosing myself doesn’t mean I stopped loving someone. It means I finally realized I can’t keep losing myself trying to make something work. One day at a time. 🖤 #HealingJourney #ChoosingMyself #SelfWorth #ShadowWork #OneDayAtATime

I told the trees and the water about you. They said they already knew. 🌊🌿 Apparently, the earth has been watching too. #FeminineRage #HealingJourney #IntuitiveInProgress #ShadowWork #DivineFeminine
