When you make signs THIS BIG, there’s a couple things you need to have on hand. Mostly—a LOT of aluminum: in coils, sheets, ready to be processed or already processed and drying—and more! It’s like the Forrest Gump scene but with aluminum—we got aluminum in coils, in sheets, on a rack, in chemical processing, in the cleaning solution, by the fans… 🤣 #interstate #aluminum #warehouse #roadsigns #signmaker

🌄 How do you move the river that made the Grand Canyon and harness its hydroelectric power to service over a million people? By building the largest hydroelectric dam, the likes of which had never been seen before!
Over 200 engineers and thousands of men worked 24/7 to create the Hoover Dam from 1931 to 1935. From drilling three-mile long tunnels into canyon walls, removing loose rock while suspended 800 feet in the air, to spreading 7-foot tall buckets of concrete into wooden forms, the Hoover Dam is not only a wonder of engineering, but a show of dedication, innovation, and determination to create something that would amaze the world nearly a century later.
Read more to learn how this modern marvel was planned, constructed, and what it does today! 🏗 #hooverdam #hooverdamnevada #ModernMarvel #nevada #coloradoriver #HydroelectricPower #engineering
