‘Chapter 4’ is out now! This song is the result of a cheeky ask in the kitchen one evening from my pal Dan O’Neill. He had the final picture lock for How To Live On Earth, where he features as one of the three experts. In reply to his ask, I said I’d write the song if I liked it. Turned out I loved it! I got straight to writing or ready for yesterday’s free release on YouTube. It was a quick turnaround and quite a few people were involved. The part where Benedict Cumberbatch speaks on humans coming into ‘Chapter 4’ really resonated with me and I took it from there. I felt coming out the film a call-and-answer verse with a lot of body percussion would work. Something maybe people might sing round a campfire. With my studio in scaffolding, I borrowed my pal Jon Hopkins’ Colour Eye studio. Cherif Hashizume recorded my vocals and I wrote lyrics as I went, trying out melodies and harmonies. The usual hot mess of ideas, but Cherif kept me tidy and ready for next sessions. I had the slow rising bass idea from the start - it gives that feeling of never settling, always in motion. Recently I’d been loving Mat Zo’s latest album and so him to throw down some sounds too. Then came the LCV choir! Huge thanks to Ila , who happened to be at 160DL Studios with the perfect set of voices for another session. We pulled it together in no time. I placed them into the track overnight and mixed it a bit but had no time for the last 5% before leaving for a festival. Enter Ross Fortune, I was checking his mix and making notes between stage times. Sounding great. Then, the final brushstroke with Super Audio Mastering. And this is how a New Choon came to be in record time! Thanks to Dan for the music supervision role and connecting me with Fredi Devas and Open Planet. So happy we did this. No time for a photo shoot, but being a Chapter 4 baby, I asked my mum for a pic! Here’s one of us that maybe my Dad took? Jacob Hulmston then worked his magic for the front cover using his VJ rig, weaving together themes of mycelial networks, motherboards, and motherhood. Hope you love the song! Link in Bio 🔗

So excited to share that I have a new track coming out called “Chapter 4”, written for the beautiful new documentary “How to Live on Earth”! 🌍✨ This all sparked from a chat with my dear friend Dan O’Neill and, after watching the film, I was just so deeply inspired by its hopeful message of working with nature to build a better future. You can hear the track for the very first time during the global premiere event on YouTube 🎶👇 🗓️ Sunday 20 September 2026 ⏰ 11am PDT / 2pm EDT / 7pm BST / 8pm CET Can't wait for you all to tune in together and hear it. Have a watch party! 💛
