Living far away from your family and loved ones isn’t always easy, especially when it’s your birthday. But this year I refused to let myself fall into the classic birthday scenario of wondering who wished me a happy birthday, who got me a gift, who showed up for me, or didn’t and measuring how much people love me based on those things. Instead, I planned a beautiful simple and lovely day 💗 My roommate was shocked when she saw me decorating for my own birthday. She told me she had never seen anyone do that before in her life ahah lol And hearing her say that made me realize how “lucky” I am to be so comfortable creating the things I dream of for myself, and to never be afraid to do things alone or do them just for me🥰 Sometimes you have to be the person who creates the magic for yourself, and that’s so fun too I promise 🤩💕 #birthday#solobirthday#byme#love#birthdaygirl
