I stopped doubting myself the day I realized how much I’ve already overcome. Confidence is quiet, it’s knowing I’ll be okay no matter what !! I am no longer shrinking to fit into spaces that cannot hold my growth. Every scar I carry is proof that I survived, and that is my strength. I don’t need to be perfect to believe in myself I just need to be real 🤍 Becoming confident wasn’t loud it was choosing myself in silence, I trust the person I am becoming, even on the days I feel unsure, My journey taught me that self-worth is not earned it is remembered. I am learning to stand tall in my truth, even when my voice shakes, Growth made me softer, but stronger in ways the world cannot see. #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #viral #fyp #selflove #love

Losing a patient is one of the hardest experiences in nursing. It's essential for us to recognize that feelings of grief, guilt, sadness, and even emotional numbness are completely normal responses. Working in high-pressure areas like the ICU or Emergency Department doesn’t shield us from emotional pain. Instead of suffering in silence, let’s take part in debriefings, talk to trusted colleagues, seek supervision, or even pursue professional counseling if we find ourselves struggling with intrusive thoughts or distress. It’s important to remember to separate personal responsibility from clinical outcomes. We should reflect honestly on whether we followed the right protocols and delivered care within our expertise. Not every life can be saved, even in the best institutions like Mayo Clinic or Johns Hopkins. We also need to keep an eye on our mental health for signs of secondary traumatic stress like persistent guilt, nightmares, irritability, or emotional withdrawal. Adopting healthy coping strategies like journaling, prayer, meditation, exercise, and structured reflection can really help us process these feelings. Experiencing pain after a patient’s death isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a reflection of our empathy and compassion qualities that make us great nurses. With the right support and reflection, these experiences can actually strengthen our resilience instead of hurting it. ❤️ #Nursing #MentalHealth #Empathy #Resilience #NurseLife
