I was so deep into burnout before I closed the restaurant, that I lost my FOMO a while ago. I miss people, but also I can’t people very much. I pop on the apps as my anxiety allows and I enjoy watching life continue on outside. I am mostly inside - in my head, in a book, in research mode, in the arms of those that love me the most. I don’t have the plan everyone keeps asking about lol. Lately I’ve just been inspired to make art, so that’s what I’m going to do. I will be announcing a <very intimate> live performance soon. I have been mostly quiet, but there are days like today when I wake up and make the mistake of getting online. And I can rest assured there will always be some Fresno fuckery waiting for me. Here’s what pisses me off about this - it’s like he thinks this is cute, but it’s not cute. And if it is cute, who the hell is it cute for? Ya’ll know cheeky shit pisses me off. Because WHO IS THIS FOOOOOR?! Who wanted the streets renamed in the first damn place? Besides tired local politicians looking for a lil headline action. NOT FOR THE PEOPLE. Then you’re gonna race and take the signs down - WITH WHAT MONEY, SIR? And all of a sudden time is NOTHING to these folks. This whole ass city is a mess but we have time for this…and a photo op. 😂 The part that I don’t have enough info to have thoughts on, but lots of other people have thoughts on, is the irony of a man with his reputation….celebrating the tearing down of another man WITH HIS REPUTATION. I think the bigger and more persistent issue for me though, is how comfortable this city is with having a mayor who people call a pedo and a rapist every day online, literally running our city. If we want to sit with anything, let’s sit with that. But then again we would have to be sitting with that for our entire country wouldn’t we? #fresno #fresnonews #fresnonsense
