Getting upset about the many attacks on nature is natural. Honestly, I wish more people were aware enough to be concerned. But for those of us suffering under the daily barrage of bad news, it is important that we rescue ourselves. We can begin by remembering why we feel compassionate toward nature and so deeply connected to it. Go outside and experience nature as if it were your first time. Don’t label it, worry about it, or search for what’s wrong with it. Make observations as if you just landed on this planet. Be curious. Be present. Then go have fun. Run, walk, play, dance, ride your bike. Do something that cultivates joy outdoors. The best warriors for nature are balanced. Find your balance. Find joy. And don’t forget what you’re fighting for. #naturelovers

Stinging nettle shouldn't be touched, but it should be planted. Yes, you read that right. If stinging nettle is native to your area, you should plant some. It supports quite a few moths and butterflies' caterpillars that, in turn, provide a great food source for birds. Guess who else can eat stinging nettle?
