I've noticed that we spend the majority of our actions, trying to gain approvals/affirmation from some else. From parents, to teachers, to leaders, to friends, to lovers and more. Matter of fact, majority of our life's growth and entering into new phases is dependent on the verdict of someone else. Careers, school, and even before marriage, someone has to say yes to your methods. Thus, affirmations are a part of life. Furthermore, You should know that before someone agrees with your actions, they first have to understand you - They first need to see reasons why your way is right or permissible. ... This means understanding is important, and its ok to try to make people understand us. Wanting people to understand you is fine, but you need to also understand that a time/phase in your life will come when things will not make sense for others, even though you know you are on the right path. There will come a time in your life where only you and GOD will see things as it is, and a lot of people will be against your actions. It's common when you're about to do something new, something different, take certain "risks" and most importantly when you discover your purpose and choose to follow it. There will be such times, and in those times, draw the line. Galatians 1:10 is a powerful reminder of this, it says, “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” So, AS LONG AS YOU KNOW YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT PATH, pleasing people is not a priority. Stay aligned with GOD'S direction. Stop trying so hard to make people understand, keep doing what you must and I assure you with your results people will understand. "BE STRONG WHILE YOU WAIT." For me the hardest part of the journey of life, is the "waiting for breakthrough" part. It's so frustrating when you constantly show up, put in the work day in and day out, you've done so much that it's clear to you and anyone who comes across you that you're ready and you have what it takes, but still there is no breakthrough. It's frustrating being able to pull weights no one can, but yet seeing those who you are statistically better than steadily progressing in life, being recognized, celebrated and rewarded, which makes your slow growth feel like stagnancy. Waiting is hard and frustrating, and the longer it takes, the less willing you are to keep going, but I beg you to be patient a little bit more. Understand that the day a prophecy of greatness is made to you, is not the day the prophecy begins to manifest. There are processes attached to it. The day David was anointed as a KING was not the day he became a king. He even went back to being a Shepherd, he had a battle with Goliath using experiences from being a Shepherd and that got him access to the recognition and love of the people, and access to the throne. There are CONNECTED PROCESSES. THIS IS YOUR STORY. IT HAS IT'S PROCESS. GOD made you a promise, and you know for sure GOD can't lie. The fact that things are looking harder and nearly impossible is more reason why you should trust GOD. TRUST YOUR PROCESS. IT WILL ALL WORK TOGETHER FOR YOUR GOOD.
