Some one coined it in our group as not only a gathering of locomotives and a national birthday celebration put on by railroaders and railfans but as a reunion of the railroad world here in the US At Spencer Shops. The term a Woodstock moment was used and so was Coined the nickname “Railfan Woodstock” by our group! It stuck and its almost Impossible not to see why! I ran into so many friends and colleagues in the industry and railfan community both new and old. It was very much a wood stock moment for our industry and our railfan community. This event was awesome! Last day is tomorrow. If you can make it I recommend, you do. There might never be another railroad event the likes of this ever again. Very glad I had the opportunity to be there today and experience such a historic moment! I’m a professional railroader I don’t foam much.. but today I’ll admit I did. and wasn’t because of the equipment…it was because of the people i knew both on the crews and railfanning it with us.
