Weekly Date #23! ❤️ This week, Eric planned the date, and we had SUCH a good time! Our first stop was Sunday Press! ☕ This was actually my first time here, and I loved it. Sunday Press is a Houston-born, women-owned café, and everything we had was delicious! Eric got the ropa vieja brisket tacos, and I had a super fresh salad and chicken salad on a croissant. Such a great start to the date! 😋 Next, Eric surprised me with a night of FREE live jazz at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park! 🎷 We caught the Houston Jazz Festival featuring the NOLA Resistance Quintet, and it was the perfect night to sit outside, enjoy some great music and just spend time together. Miller has actually been bringing free performances to Houston for more than 100 years! And of course, we had to hit the concession stand for popcorn, gummy candy and peanut M&M’s. 🍿 We ended the night with something sweet at Baskin-Robbins! 🍦 I got strawberry cheesecake, and Eric got butter pecan. Good food, live jazz, snacks, ice cream and quality time with my favorite person. ❤️ Eric understood the assignment! 😂 Now it’s my turn to plan the next one! 👀 #WeeklyDate2026 #HoustonDateNight #HoustonThingsToDo #DateNightIdeas

Weekly Date #24 ❤️ This week was my turn to plan our date, and we started EARLY! 😂 First stop was breakfast at Flavor Melody’s Breakfast Bar in Northwest Houston, and the food was TOP TIER! Eric had the chicken & waffles and French coffee, and I tried their new lemon pancakes. Everything was absolutely delicious! The restaurant has such a nice ambiance, and the manager was so kind and welcoming. We also went pretty early, so it wasn’t crowded at all, which made it even better. If you’re looking for a new breakfast or brunch spot in Houston, definitely put this one on your list! Then we headed to Cinemark Tinseltown Houston 290 and XD for a 9 AM movie! I honestly didn’t even know movies started that early, but I loved it! 😂 We saw Daniel and the Fiery Furnace. It was my second time seeing it, Eric’s first, and he really enjoyed it. After enjoying the rest of our day, we headed back out that evening to Discovery Green for México en el Corazón, a free celebration of Mexican culture with live music, dancing, traditional costumes, vendors, and FOOD! And we were on a mission to find TACOS. 😂 There were bacon-wrapped hot dogs everywhere, but Eric is allergic to pork, and we don’t have time for that! Thankfully, we found A Taste of Morelia! I got street tacos, Eric got brisket nachos, and our mission was complete. 😂 We ended the night by the George R. Brown Convention Center, enjoying the fountains and stopping by the Houston sign. I love that our dates can take us from breakfast and a 9 AM movie to a festival Downtown later that night. There’s always something fun to experience in Houston, and I love experiencing it with my husband. ❤️ #WeeklyDate2026 #HoustonDateIdeas #DateNightHouston #ThingsToDoInHouston
