It’s all included in your ticket! 🎟️ Adults £5 | Children £2.50 Every ticket helps raise funds for church missions, so you’ll be enjoying a lovely evening while supporting a great cause. You don’t need to be part of the church to come along. Everyone is welcome! 📍 Now Church, Langold 📅 Friday 23 October Grab your tickets through the link in our bio. We’d love to see you there!
Imagine saying this out loud and thinking it’s a reasonable excuse. 🙃 We understand that budgets are tight. We run a small business ourselves. But disabled people shouldn’t be the first thing crossed off the list when money gets tight. Accessibility isn’t an optional extra. It’s part of making sure everyone has the opportunity to participate. And inclusion doesn’t always require a huge budget. Sometimes it just requires a bit of thought, planning and a willingness to do things differently. If your event is open to everyone, it needs to consider everyone. Because disabled people shouldn’t have to hope there’s enough money left over to include them.
What does a disabled person look like? It’s a question that shouldn’t need asking, yet so many people still have an idea of what disability is supposed to look like. The reality is that you could walk past someone every single day and have no idea what challenges they’re facing. Both of us behind Goodysphere live with disabilities. We run a business, raise a family and get on with everyday life. But that doesn’t mean our disabilities disappear or that we don’t need support ourselves. And that’s something we want people to understand. You shouldn’t have to explain yourself, share your medical history or prove that you’re struggling just to be treated with understanding. At Goodysphere, we don’t require a diagnosis to access our sensory experiences. We believe support should be available because someone needs it, not because they can prove they qualify. This Invisible Disabilities Week, we’d love people to remember one thing. Just because you can’t see someone’s disability doesn’t mean it isn’t there. 💜
