I shine a little brighter than most, not because my life has been full of light, but because I know what it feels like to struggle with mental health. People see the light I give to others, the smiles, the encouragement, the kindness, the hope but they don't always see the depression, the anger, the frustration, or the days I'm just fed up with life. Sometimes my mission to make this world a better place, one person at a time, is the very thing that keeps here. I know what it feels like to struggle and I never want someone else to feel like they have to face their darkness on their own but...constantly trying to be a light for everyone else can be exhausting. Sometimes, the more light you give away, the more darkness you carry inside and if you're not careful, the very things that make your heart compassionate can slowly make it colder. Just because someone brings light into your life doesn't mean they're not fighting their own darkness! Even the people who remind everyone else to keep going need a reason to keep going too so check on the ones who always check on you, hug the ones who always give you strength and remind the people who seem strongest that they don't always have to be strong because even a light that shines for everyone else deserves a chance to be held too 🫂❤️ #mentalhealth #darkness #mind #healingjourney #light
