✨ POST-OP DAY 4 UPDATE ✨ I wanted to give a little update and also share a little more about why I decided to undergo this surgery. After my mastectomy and DIEP flap reconstruction, I ended up losing a significant amount of weight, which also meant losing a lot of the volume in my breasts. While I’m incredibly grateful for my reconstruction, my body had changed quite a bit since my original surgery, and I wanted to make some adjustments so I could feel more comfortable and confident with my results. Now that I’m officially 4 days post-op, I’m still dealing with quite a bit of bloating, swelling, and some pain and discomfort. But honestly, it’s nowhere near as bad as my initial mastectomy and reconstruction recovery. ❤️‍🩹 #fyp #mastectomy #cancersucks #diepflap #breastcancer
