STOP! I did not know the Hello Kitty Chateau has a museum! I used to print and color these scenes and now I get to see them in person?? My heart!💕 I was so happy to see these perfect 2D apples again! Something about seeing red fruits bring me so much joy 🍓 🍒 and now 🍎. @sanrio @hellokitty #sanriogirl #hellokittylover #mexicocity #cdmx

The library is in a really loud intersection with lots of cars. I was very overstimulated. I should've checked but maybe this is punishment from the reading gods for only reading smut (joking). My relationship with reading is quite complicated. Now that I know I have ADHD and processing disorders, it makes more sense. I knew I read slower and struggled with reading comprehension. I remember I did a ton of tutoring my whole childhood so my STAR test scores went from below average to advanced at some point. I was dismissed when I was concerned I kept losing my spot on a page. I probably flew under the radar because I got better at test taking strategies. Credits to the USA for making elementary school kids learn how to take tests better instead of actually learning. This extended all the way to SAT prep and more. I knew I learned better from videos than from books but I didn't realize I perceived objects and words out of order. I remember learning that the brain will automatically fill in the blanks or make sense out of things but I didn't realize my processing was all guess and check. I only noticed when I struggled to copy down an unfamiliar name correctly at some hospital this year. It checks out though because I could not follow any sports ball ever unless it was football because they circle it for you. I never knew where the bright yellow water polo ball was while playing and couldn't even track it when watching playbacks. Looking back, maybe that's why I couldn't understand slide of hand magic tricks as quickly as my peers as a kid. I was shamed for reading slowly and then reading at all. I was shamed out of reading my girly fiction books and my parents didn't let me read manga anymore. I think I only read 1 book series for fun in the last 10 years so I'm proud of the effort I put into rebuilding my relationship with reading.   Because of all this, I missed the peak wattpad ao3 era. I'm sure young Jeanette would've loved the stories these girl writers came up with. Now, I read my spicy manhuas, webtoons, and mangas. I love to have hobbies in common with other women. #booktok #mexicotravel #introspection #latediagnosedautistic #thoughtdaughter #reading #essay
