Bought a 2023 Scarab 165 jet boat at a bank repo auction with just 12 hours on it. Sounds great, right? Then we found a white powdery substance throughout the intake, water where it shouldn’t be, and an engine completely locked up. 😅 Now the question is whether we can get it freed up, or if a new engine is in the future. This boat was more than 50% off at a repo auction. Sounds like a steal… until you remember you’re buying someone else’s mystery problem.
