One year, I told my class a rare bird called the Lirpa Loof had been spotted in our school… and they were convinced it was true! 😂 It was the best April Fools Day prank ever! Comment “APRIL FOOL” for the link. 🚨 First, I showed them a “breaking news” report video that said a rare bird, that only appears once a year on April 1st, was spotted near our school. 🦜 Next, I read them a little story that explained all about the Lirpa Loof bird and then we went on a hunt around school searching for it. 🔎 There were clues along the way and the kids had to write down a letter that went with each clue. When we got back to class there was one last clue that said to write the letters down on their paper in a certain order…. And the joke was that LIRPA LOOF = APRIL FOOL (spelled backward!) 🤪 It was super fun and they totally believed me!
