Ring (Japanese: リング, Hepburn: Ringu) is a 1998 Japanese supernatural psychological horrorfilm directed by Hideo Nakata and written by Hiroshi Takahashi, based on the 1991 novel by Koji Suzuki. The film stars Nanako Matsushima, Miki Nakatani, and Hiroyuki Sanada, and follows a reporter who is racing to investigate the mystery behind a cursed video tape; whoever watches the tape dies seven days after doing so. The film is also titled The Ring (stylized as the Ring) in Japan and was released in North America as Ringu. This was based off of an actual case and overplayed with Japanese folklore. But knowing that the author was motivated by this is pretty freaking. So tell me, do you think Thoughtology is real??? Whether you loved this version, or the 2002 The Ring - you can’t really go wrong with either. Both have their place in the cannon for me. #ringu #jhorror #horrorfilm

Batman is a 1989 superhero filmdirected by Tim Burton and written by Sam Hamm and Warren Skaaren. Based on the DC Comics character, it is the first installment of Warner Bros.’ initial Batman film series. The film stars Jack Nicholson, Michael Keaton, Kim Basinger, Robert Wuhl, Pat Hingle, Billy Dee Williams, Michael Gough, and Jack Palance. The film’s score was composed by Danny Elfman, and songs were written by Prince. The film takes place early in the war on crime of the title character (Keaton) and depicts his conflict with his archenemy the Joker (Nicholson). Yes, I know Batman Day has passed but I ran into a delay due to some medical issues, apologies but I didn’t want my work wasted so please enjoy. 😊 I loved Batman as a child and couldn’t wait for this to drop in the theater. Let me know who your favorite Batman was? #batman #batmanday #80sfilms

It goes without saying that this is one of my all-time favorite horror films! Every zombie that has ever groaned “brains” is quoting a movie George Romero had nothing to do with. 🧠 Return of the Living Dead (1985) came out of a rights split after Night of the Living Dead. Romero kept “of the Dead” for his own sequels, John Russo kept “Living Dead,” and Dan O’Bannon, who co-wrote Alien, wrote and directed this one. Somewhere in that consolation-prize franchise, he invented the brain craving and gave it a reason: eating brains eases the pain of being dead. Romero has said he has no idea where the idea came from. Fans still ask him to sign things with “eat brains,” and his zombies never did it. Forty years later, it’s the one zombie rule everyone knows, and most people credit the wrong director. Did you know this wasn’t Romero? Tell me below 👇 #returnofthelivingdead #danobannon #zombiemovies #horrorhistory 80shorror horrortrivia filmtok horrorcommunity
