Looking a little deeper into the artwork for The Nerve…we wanted to make it as over-the-top, bro-y as possible. The cover is packed with nods to the larger-than-life, ego-driven rock imagery made famous by bands like Mötley Crüe: samurai swords, shotguns, tigers, monster trucks..basically every macho cliché we could think of. It’s our way of poking fun at the things the patriarchy has often claimed as symbols of power. Satire has always been part of the Fea spirit, and this artwork is no different. We like taking serious ideas and flipping them on their head with a little humor. The album is called The Nerve because Fea has the nerve and we encourage women to have the nerve, too: to take up space, speak their minds, and do whatever the hell they want. Pick up your copy today online, at your local record shop, or come grab one from us on tour. Thanks, y’all! #newalbum #fea #feaband #thenerve

Taking a closer look at the lyrics of “Nerve,” the song reflects on moments when a woman says no and the reaction that follows. At its core, it explores how rejection can bring out strong emotions and how important it is to respond with respect and understanding. Rejection is a normal part of life….it shouldn’t be seen as a personal attack or something negative. “Nerve” highlights empowerment, self-worth, and the importance of standing up for yourself when rejection is met with anger, entitlement, or disrespect. So, basically… don’t cry about it. No llores. 💪🚫 #nerve #fea #lyrics #riotgrrrl #chicanapunk
