So Kaneki wanted Rize because she looks like his mother… and Touka might have her own version of the same thing? 😭 Tokyo Ghoul gets insanely deep when you look at its relationships through Jung's Anima, projection, and individuation. Rize, Kaneki's mother, Touka, and even Akira Mado can all be connected to how Kaneki understands the feminine. And once you notice this, his relationships start looking very different. #tokyoghoul #kanekiken #rize #manga

A Russian visual novel about a girl who genuinely believes everything happening to her is a gift from the universe… while the girl who protected her suddenly disappears. Z.A.T.O. takes place in a small, isolated Russian town and slowly mixes its strange everyday life with increasingly disturbing situations. What I love most is how patiently the story handles its highlights, stretching certain moments out just long enough to make you question how these people can possibly live like this. And somehow, the entire experience is only 6 to 9 hours long and completely free. #zato #visualnovel #ilovetheworldandeverythinginit #mediatok

@yuqumi also made an analysis about it. Tokyo Ghoul is so good at hiding entire messages and foreshadowing inside seemingly random details. “Among the blind, the one-eyed is king” is a perfect example, because blindness can represent completely different things throughout the story. The phrase also carries this older historical idea of the blind following a king because they cannot see the world for themselves, which makes the One-Eyed King feel less like a simple title and more like a symbol of an entire system built on ignorance. Or is the King himself blind and not ready yet? #tokyoghoul #manga #anime
