The middle act was repetitive to the point that the film could've been approximately 20 minutes shorter and it wouldn't have left out anything significant for the story. One of my biggest issues was the central idea of the technology used for this movie. Obviously, I don't need 20 minutes of exposition to explain a scientific idea that's not real, but having any kind of backstory about this in relation to the main characters would've been nice to watch. We are thrown into this mystery and there's no meaningful or emotional context for it to anchor the viewer. The end result is a scifi horror movie that falls flat from the weight of its ideas. #horrortiktok #horrortok #horror #jessicarothe #scifi
