30 patients a day is the bare minimum. Most days, it’s a whole lot more than that. Over the past 26 years, I’ve cared for more than 100,000 patients. That’s 100,000 lives, each with their own story, fears, pain and struggles. I’ve witnessed incredible recoveries, heartbreaking losses and moments that will stay with me for the rest of my life. People don’t always see the physical, mental and emotional toll that working in the ER takes on you. The long nights, missed sleep, aching feet and the things you see that you can never unsee. Some patients you remember forever and some days you carry home with you long after your shift ends. But after 26 years, I still show up because I genuinely care about the people who come through those doors. Behind every patient is someone’s mother, father, son, daughter or loved one. And I always try to treat them the way I would want my own family treated. #26YearsStrong #ERTech #EmergencyRoomLife #100000Patients #HealthcareHeroes
