Remy was adopted last year and recently returned to the shelter through no fault of his own. He’s been through a lot of change, and being back in the shelter has been especially hard on him. 💔 His stress has been increasing, and he can struggle to settle in his kennel. But once he gets out, you get to see the real Remy.   He’s a bubbly, affectionate, energetic boy who loves people, cuddles, playtime, and spending time with his dog friends. He’s been paired with another dog without any issues and does wonderfully with his canine companions. 🥹🐾   Remy has a big personality and plenty of energy to share. He loves to run, play, jump around, and soak up attention. But underneath all that excitement is a dog who really wants to feel safe and connected to his people. 💜   Remy has already lost his home once, and the shelter is becoming harder for him to handle. "We adopted Nala in March of 2025!   She is literally the best dog you could ever ask for. When we adopted her, she knew lots of commands and was such a sweet and quiet girl. We brought her home which is 9 hours from El Paso and you couldn't ask for a better riding companion.   She has a home for life here! We all love her so much. She loves everyone and everything. Jimmy has been in our care for months now, and the shelter is starting to take a toll on him. He's been added to our at-risk list, but we know that beyond his kennel. Jimmy is the definition of a good boy.   On his Doggy Day Out, he absolutely stole hearts with his sweet, easygoing personality and A+++ behavior. Whether he was cruising in the car (he hops in and out like a pro!) or strolling through the neighborhood, Jimmy showed just how well-mannered and adaptable he is.   Don’t let his excitement fool you—while he might get a little wiggly when it’s time to put on his leash or harness, he settles quickly and becomes a dream walking companion. He walks nicely on leash, responds beautifully to redirection, and already knows how to sit. Even with dogs barking at him from a distance, Jimmy stayed calm and unbothered.   This affectionate boy lives for love and attention. He’ll happily soak up all the pets you’re willing to give, if he had it his way, he'd get pets all day long.   He’s playful, obedient, and very treat-motivated (peanut butter treats are a favorite!). He also had no accidents in the home and showed excellent manners out in public, including a trip to PetSmart.   Jimmy truly just wants a family to love him, and he’ll give that love right back tenfold.
