The Man Who Shot Portugal 📸 Ronaldo. Paula Rego. Mourinho. Zé Pedro. Catarina Furtado. You know every one of these faces. You've probably never seen the man behind the camera. Kenton Thatcher. British-born, 35 years in Lisbon, more than 120 portraits of Portugal's most famous people. "My photographs do not identify time or place. The only thing that identifies the photograph is the person within it." It started with his father, a quiet man who said it all through a camera. I followed Kenton through the final day of Sessions at the Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes in April 2025. Standing room only. Last month, Lisbon awarded him its Municipal Medal of Cultural Merit. Well deserved. His new exhibition, Lisbon, Silences and Silhouettes, is at Lisbon City Hall until 27 November. It's a different collection, so not every portrait here is on those walls. Want them all? Buy the book. Kenton ( @kenton.thatcher ) approved that line 😄 👉 Send this to someone who loves Portugal. #KentonThatcher #Lisboa #PortraitPhotography #EnterPortugal #PortugueseCulture

15 seconds. That's all it takes to fall in love with Lisbon's most crazy cocktail bar. ⚡️ Meet João — the spark behind Loucos e Sonhadores. He's the reason the room is always full and the drinks never stop flowing. 2-FOR-1 cocktails all night. Margarita. Espresso Martini. Negroni. Pick your poison. Send this to your +1 and get down here. 🍸 📍 Loucos e Sonhadores | Lisbon #EnterPortugal #LisbonNightlife #LoucosESonhadores #LisbonCocktailBar #2For1Cocktails
