One of my biggest decorating pet hates… 😤 This is what we found around one of the sockets after a full re-plaster. Lumps everywhere, bits of plaster left inside the socket area, missing sections and just a really poor finish. Now, I’m not saying every plaster finish has to be absolutely perfect — decorators are there to prep and make things look good too. But surely there has to be a reasonable standard before we start? Sometimes it’s not about replacing it — it’s about making what’s already there look right. 👌 A couple of separate sections of skirting that needed a bit of TLC, so rather than ripping everything out, I repaired, filled, shaped and blended them back in. Once it’s all prepped and painted, you’d never know there had been a repair there in the first place. It’s the little details that make the difference.
