I miss the version of my life where my biggest inconvenience was figuring out how to sleep upright on a 5-hour flight so I could wander around Iceland looking emotionally unavailable next to a waterfall. Being back to ‘normal life’ is so… bland. I’m aggressively looking for adventures, debating whether a local road trip counts as “self care,” and pretending I’m not sitting on my front porch needing to get ready for another shift behind the bar. There’s something deeply humbling about going from black sand beaches, glacier lagoons, and moss-covered lava fields to sitting in traffic behind someone with a “Salt Life” sticker doing 12 under the speed limit. But maybe that’s the trick with travel. It ruins you a little. Suddenly your brain is always chasing that feeling again… The cold air off the North Atlantic, gas station hot dogs in the middle of nowhere that are surprisingly delicious, laying in a grassy pasture in the middle of the night where the midnight sun is still out and those moments where you realize you’re somehow standing in a place that doesn’t even feel real. A place you watched on your favorite TV show and it seemed out of reach. Until then, I’ll settle for local adventures, a trip to the state park, and gaslighting myself into believing Delaware has plenty of things to do. Life is so very fleeting. #icelandtravel #cinematic #wanderlust #remimiscing

POV: The Northern Lights are visible over Delaware right now (June 4)! A massive solar storm is pushing the aurora way further south than usual. Save this video right now so you have these camera settings when you go outside, and send this to someone in Delaware who needs to look North immediately! For phones, turn off your flash, turn on Night Mode, and slide it to maximum (3 to 10 seconds). For DSLR cameras, shoot in manual mode, set your aperture wide open at f1.4 to f2.8, keep your ISO between 1600 and 3200, and use a shutter speed of 2 to 8 seconds. For recording video, switch your camera to manual video mode at 24fps, drop your shutter speed to 1/30s to let in maximum light, and raise your ISO as high as your camera allows without getting too grainy. If standard video is still too dark, skip normal recording and switch over to time-lapse mode with a 2-second interval to capture the movement. Comment your city if you can see the green or purple glow right now! 🌌👇 #delaware #northernlights #auroraborealis #solarstorm #photographytips
